Provider Tools

Below are links to helpful tools.

The Provider Manual  is a guide to assist with things such as submitting medical claims and understanding the payment process.  It also includes all claim forms.

National Provider Identifier (NPI)

Effective May 23, 2008, all providers must have a National Provider Identifer (NPI).  Submit a copy of your NPI to:
Health Care Services
BCBSMT
P.O. Box 4309
Helena, MT 59604

Fax: 406.447.3570
email: HCS-X3600@bcbsmt.com

Effective March 1, 2008, BCBSMT will return paper and electronic claims that are submitted without an NPI.   If you submit claims with just a BCBSMT provider ID number, your claims will be returned to you.

Register for an NPI

How do I become a BCBSMT provider?

Eligible provider types are welcome to join our network community.  To determine what provider networks you are eligible for, refer to the Provider Network Participation Policy.

The contracting process for participation in the various provider networks is simple to complete. Credentialing may be required depending on the specific network you are joining.

To obtain the required documents, contact us at: 1.800.447.7828, Extension 3600 or via email at HCS-X3600@BCBSMT.com

We look forward to working with you.
