LCPCs and LMFTs Contracting as BCBSMT Medicare Advantage Participating Providers Effective Jan. 1, 2024

November 8, 2023

As of January 1, 2024, the federal Mental Health Access Improvement Act will allow Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPCs) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) to provide services to Medicare beneficiaries and to bill Medicare Part B for reimbursement for approved services. Because this benefit will be available to Medicare beneficiaries under Medicare Part B, it will also be available to beneficiaries enrolled in the Medicare Advantage program.

In light of this new federal act, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana (BCBSMT) is soliciting LCPCs and LMFTs for participation in the BCBSMT Medicare Advantage provider network beginning January 1, 2024. If you would like to become a participating provider in BCBSMT’s Medicare Advantage network, please request by emailing hcsx6100@bcbsmt.com and a contract will be sent to you.
