Identity Protection Services Available in 2016

The safety and protection of our members' health and personal information is a top priority. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana (BCBSMT) continues to evaluate additional security measures to enhance our robust information security program.

Starting Jan. 1, 2016, BCBSMT will offer identity protection services to all eligible BCBSMT members.

This protection offer can provide our members peace of mind about the security of their personal and financial information. All eligible BCBSMT members can opt-in to receive these services provided by a leading identity protection company and will include:

  1. Credit monitoring — Monitors activity that may affect credit
  2. Fraud detection — Attempts to detect potentially fraudulent use of identity or credit
  3. Fraud resolution support — Assists members with issues that arise in relation to credit monitoring and fraud detection
