Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana Partners With Montana High School Association to Support Activities

In an ongoing effort to partner with Montana communities and organizations that support healthy lifelong skills and activities, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana (BCBSMT) recently announced a three-year agreement to support the Montana High School Association (MHSA) as corporate partner.

“We are proud to partner with the Montana High School Association, a like-minded organization, that, like us, cares deeply about communities all across Montana,” said John Doran, vice president of external affairs and chief of staff at BCBSMT. “Together, we can help support student-athletes and our state’s next generation of leaders.”

BCBSMT will provide financial support to assist the MHSA and its member schools in continuing to provide quality high school activity programs across the state. The MHSA sanctions 11 sports and five activities for students in 179-member high schools throughout the state. BCBSMT’s support will assist in providing high school activity participants, coaches, administrators, officials and fans the opportunity to participate and to enjoy high school extra-curricular activities.

The support from BCBSMT and all of MHSA’s other major sponsors assists the MHSA in providing services for member schools in relation to their activity programs. Sponsors are the reason MHSA can administer programs and provide services to member schools without increasing membership dues – the last increase was in 2005.
