Notice of Changes to Your Benefits Due to the Ending of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency

Some COVID-19 benefits changed after May 11, 2023, with the end of the public health emergency. If you have questions about your benefit coverage, call the customer service number listed on your BCBSMT member ID card. For more information on post-PHE coverage, see About COVID-19 Costs.

Over-the-counter COVID-19 diagnostic tests covered at no cost-share to the member, up to 8 tests every 30 days per person

Jan. 15, 2022

Ended on May 11, 2023, with the end of the HHS public health emergency.

In-network COVID-19 treatment at no cost-share at in-network providers

April 1, 2020

Ended Dec. 31, 2020.

Telehealth visits at no cost-share at in-network providers

Early fills (up to 90 days) of some covered medication at select drugstores or by mail order

March 8, 2020

Medicare members - Ended on May 11, 2023, with the end of the HHS public health emergency.

Medicaid members – Ends when state disaster declaration ends.

Remember to use your BCBSMT member ID card for your doctor's visit and testing to help with the reimbursement process.
