HELENA — The Caring Foundation of Montana® has selected Shodair Children’s Hospital as a beneficiary of the 2025 Governor’s Cup. A portion of the proceeds from Governor’s Cup race weekend will be donated to Shodair’s education department to help address technology and curriculum needs and plan student outings.
The School at Shodair offers year-round schooling for elementary, middle and high schoolers benefitting from Shodair’s specialized residential psychiatric care.
“This support empowers us to continue providing exceptional educational opportunities,” said Robert Radakovich, Shodair's Director of Education. “We deeply appreciate Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana’s belief in our mission and the profound difference you’re making in our community. We look forward to our continued partnership and the bright future we can build together."
Governor’s Cup proceeds will also help support the Hope Campaign, recently launched by Shodair Children’s Hospital to better connect with children in need across the state.
“We’re thrilled to support and advance the work of Shodair Children’s Hospital,” said Bryan Haines, Executive Director of the Caring Foundation of Montana. “Shodair’s impact is felt statewide and the hospital’s mission aligns with our priority of providing access to critical services for rural and underserved areas in Montana.”
In its 51st year, the Governor’s Cup is the Caring Foundation of Montana's primary fundraising event. Through its Care Van® program, the foundation provides access to preventive health care services such as immunizations, dental and vision screenings and sports physicals. The Governor’s Cup is presented by BCBSMT, which also provides administrative support to the Caring Foundation of Montana as part of its commitment to expanding access to care and building healthier communities.
“We’re proud to support the Caring Foundation of Montana and organizations such as Shodair Children’s Hospital,” said BCBSMT President Lisa Kelley. “Lifting up communities is at the core of what our company stands for.”
Registration is open for the 2025 Governor’s Cup scheduled for June 13 and 14 in Helena.
