State of Montana Transitioning to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana (BCBSMT) has been working closely with the State of Montana as it moves its employees to our health plan. Here are a few important items to be aware of as the transition begins.
• ID Cards – Patients can expect to receive their ID cards by Dec. 28, 2022.
• Online Eligibility – Eligibility will be visible online the first or second week of December.
• Prior Authorizations – BCBSMT is working with the current carrier to obtain a list of current authorizations to add to our system. The first list will be provided in November and the second in December.
