Effective July 15, 2023, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana (BCBSMT) is reinstating Healthy Montana Kids (HMK)-CHIP prior authorization (PA) requirements that had been suspended because of the COVID Public Health Emergency. The PA requirements are being reinstated at the direction of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services/HMK Program.
