What To Expect & When

Receive your membership documents.

Within 5 to 7 days of paying your first premium, you’ll start getting membership documents.

Member ID card icon

Get your member ID card.

Once you pay your premium, member ID cards for you and your dependents will be generated. They should arrive in the mail within 14 days.

Set up your plan preferences.

Get your member ID number from your ID card or renewal or welcome letter, received within 10 to 14 days. Activate your member account. Then, set up your plan preferences.

Start using your plan.

If you enrolled and paid your first premium by Dec. 15, your plan will be active on Jan. 1. If you enroll or pay your premium later, your coverage won't start until Feb. 1. Renewing your plan? You have until Dec. 31 to pay your premium so your coverage remains active for Jan. 1.
