Cost and Savings
What health insurance costs should I compare?
Look beyond the monthly premium when comparing 2027 plans. Review the deductible, copays, coinsurance and out-of-pocket maximum to understand what you may pay when you use your coverage
- Premium: The amount you pay each month to keep your health coverage active.
- Deductible: The amount you generally pay for covered care before your plan begins sharing certain costs.
- Copay: A fixed dollar amount you may pay for covered care.
- Coinsurance: A percentage of the cost of covered care that you may pay.
- Out-of-pocket maximum: The most you pay for covered in-network care during the plan year before your plan pays 100% of covered costs, subject to plan terms.
Can I get help paying for my health insurance in 2027?
You may qualify for financial help to lower your monthly payments, such as a premium tax credit, based on eligibility. The amount of financial help you qualify for may change, so review current income and household information when you’re ready to apply.
